Artist Statement

Art is a visual medium of communication, and this fact has drawn me to art since I was a child. Throughout my life, art has been a consistent way to express my thoughts, ideas and experiences. Many of my later works are inspired by life experiences, song lyrics, and stories. I have a strong affinity for painting landscapes as well. The longer I study art, the more I grow to prefer collage as my main medium. However, as a person who enjoys learning new techniques and mediums, I often like to experiment with oils, acrylics, ceramics, sculpture, photography, etc. I love to create, and I enjoy nearly any medium that allows me to do so.
